Before we begin — a few things we want you to know
We ask for at least 4 photos of your item before you ship it. Think of it as your personal record — proof of exactly what you sent and what condition it was in. When your piece arrives, our team opens it on camera and cross-checks it against your photos. That documentation is what protects you if you ever have a question about your item. It's also what protects us. The written quote we send after assessment is the agreed scope of work — nothing gets done beyond that without your approval.
You don't need to know what you have. When we examine your piece, we'll describe every stone we observe — what it looks like, where it sits, what condition it's in. What we won't do is certify it or put a dollar value on it. That's a gemologist's job, and we're jewelers. If you have a GIA report, an appraisal, or original purchase paperwork, attach it when you submit — it helps us serve you better and ensures your piece is treated accordingly. If you don't have documentation, that's okay. We'll work with what we can see and be completely transparent about it.
From the second your piece is received and signed in at our studio, it is fully under our care and covered on our premises. We'll send you a prepaid FedEx Next Day Priority label and step-by-step packing instructions before you ship — so it arrives safely. The journey to us and back is handled by FedEx, the same carrier trusted by jewelers, banks, and hospitals nationwide. Our care of your piece begins the moment we sign it in, and continues until the moment it's handed back to FedEx for its return trip home. When your repair is complete, we ship it back Next Day Priority and send you a tracking number the moment it leaves our studio.
